The Busway has a good cycleway alongside. From Cambridge rail station, head south. Pass Addenbrooke’s and the Clay Farm development on your left. (The developers call it “Great Kneighton” but locals don’t.) Take care to leave the main cycleway at the Foster Road stop – look out for the sheltered bus stops on either side of the Busway, and footpath upwards on the right leading to Foster Road. Head south-west along the footpath, past the chicken allotments and orchard, as described under “The Busway” above.
Note: There’s a sign near the Foster Road stop labelled “Trumpington 1/2”. If you find yourself in the old railway cutting heading towards a bridge, you’ve passed the Foster Road exit.
